Most filters are a standard size with a half inch undercut, but there are custom-sized filters and in this video; we will show you how to measure both. To begin, make sure you have a pen, paper, and a measuring tape, and a screwdriver handy. Paper and pen will be important for recording your measurements for future reference.
To begin, you remove your grille and we're going to be measuring the height, the width and the depth. We're going to measure the height, which is 32, and the width, which is 20, and the depth which is going to be the one inch. When you're measuring your frame, make sure that you undercut a quarter inch when it's a custom size, that way it will ensure your filter to be flush against your unit. Make sure you record your measurements on a sheet of paper and keep it with you so you'll have it at all times.
